Shreya Ghoshal is a popular Indian playback singer who has won several awards and accolades for her melodious voice and versatile singing style. She was born on March 12, 1984, in Berhampore, West Bengal, India, and grew up in Rawatbhata, Rajasthan.

Shreya started her singing career at a young age and participated in the television singing reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" in 2000.

She gained recognition after winning the show and went on to sing for various Bollywood films.

Shreya has received several awards and honors for her exceptional singing skills, including four National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, and many others. She has also been honored with prestigious titles such as the "National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer" and the "Padma Shri" by the Government of India.

Shreya Ghoshal is regarded as one of the most talented and versatile playback singers in India and has a huge fan following not just in India but also in other parts of the world.


Aside from playback singing, Ghoshal has shown up as an adjudicator on a few TV unscripted TV Shows and in music recordings. She has been respected by the territory of Ohio in the US, where Lead representative Ted Strickland announced 26 June 2010 as "Shreya Ghoshal Day".
